Writer of small things: short/flash fiction, poetry and that blurry zone where they overlap.

(I sometimes make pictures, too)

I’m a Taiwanese writer living in Providence, RI and working in anti-discrimination law. Former fiction editor for Issues Magazine, Pushcart Prize nominee for work featured in the 2015 Best of Jersey Devil Press Anthology, two-time prizewinner of the RTHK Radio/The Standard Short Story Contest. Some of my work is published under the name Yvonne Yu.

I’m interested in visceral interactions, bodies as adjectives, and how people use sensuality to both bridge and create distance. (Also, writing some weird magical realism stuff that may or may not fall into those categories.) Recently discovered collage, which is a lot of fun!
